#ILOVEHK14 DAY1

I know I know, the irritating me have been posting all the places I went in parts and it really makes people want to punch me, so here you have the itinerary for #ILOVEHK14 DAY1 !

Actually I was in Hong Kong before I went Bangkok in the same week. My bad, I decided realised that the dates were THAT near. (Lucky my leave was approved). As usual, I took Scoot (again) for the trip to Hong Kong. Major thanks to Fen's dad for sending us to the airport for our midnight. We took the opportunity to upgrade our seats to ScootBiz since it was only SGD $14 per pax. It was our first time experience the *ahem* Business class , and my partners' first time with a budget airline.

We touched down  at Hong Kong International Airport 6 am in the morning and there's really nothing much we can do at that hour. We proceed on to what we called our "admin time", which means preping ourselves like wash up, make up and everything miscellaneous. The mobile store opens at 7am, and we just waited outside for it, quickly grab our SIM Cards and head to the city!

It is also cheaper to buy airport express tickets in groups, if you are traveling alone you might want to ask any family/ groups around you if they want to share with you. It is cheaper for everyone anyway!

Fen waiting for the train!

We took the express train to Hong Kong Station which gave us at least a whole good 15 minutes to nap.

What can you do after you alight at the Hong Kong station?
Go and queue for Tim Ho Wan!
We were really kiasu people and we reach there even before it was open, & it means that we are the first in line!!!!!
We made friends with the other tourists behind us and we had so much fun talking to them.

Address : Shop 12A, Hong Kong Station (Podium Level 1, IFC Mall) , Central
Nearest MTR : Hong Kong Station

Since we were at Central, I had to bring them to my favourite Starbucks outlet.
I don't even know why I liked it so much, perhaps for it's decor ?
It is about 10-15 minutes walk from IFC to Duddell Street, so it is quite convenient. #routine

Address : Floor M2, Baskerville House, 13 Duddell Street, Central

Nearest MTR: Central Station

After our early tea break, we went to our choice of accommodation - HopInn to check in and rest for awhile.Yup, some admin time before our next appointment. We usually book the one at Carnarvon, mainly because of the safety at night. Not that the other one is bad or inconvenient, just it gets a bit messy over that side in the evening. Carnarvon Street is also nearer to the neighborhood malls like the One where and K11 where we did most of our grocery shopping. Stayed there during the previous trip too (individually), since we have three humans for this trip, our room is slightly bigger and a cooler theme. We had charcoals on our walls too wtf.

Address: 9/F James S. Lee Mansion, 33-35 Carnarvon Road, |Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon,
Nearest MTR : Tsim Sha Tsui

#ootd

We had an appointment with  Fenny's friend, a fellow blogger/ PR/ writer in Hong Kong, at a cat cafe located in Causeway Bay - Cat Store. My maiden visit to a Cat cafe.

Address : Flat D-E, Po Ming Building, Fu Ming Street, Causeway Bay.
銅鑼灣富明街2-6號寶明大廈3樓D-E室
Contact : +852 27109953
Nearest MTR Station : Causeway Bay.

We skipped lunch because we were really too full from all the dimsum and starbucks so we had light snacks at the Cat Store. Good enough to last us till dinner time.

Shopped around at Causeway Bay and went back to Tsim Sha Tsui for dinner. Junz had like a mini craving for instant noodles so we went Lan Fong Yuen for Dinner! Major loves for the place and it is one of the places I personally like and will go every time.

Address: Shop 26, LG, Chung King Mansion (Woodhouse), 36-44 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui

And that's all for the day!

Cousins* Bangkok Travelogue Day 3

Day 3 of CousinsinBKK!
Behind me are the cousins looking at I don't know what.
p/s: look at the triplets wearing the same top at the back, think they scared they kena kidnap.
The tallest one must have stolen all the other two's milk when  they were yonuger.

On the third day of our trip, which happens to be on a Saturday, okay fine we planned it. -.-
Weekends in Bangkok are like almostttttt meant for Chatuchak Market. & so we walked to the *ahem nearest BTS Station and alighted at Mo Chit Station. Depending on which line is better for you, you may alight at Chatuchak Park too.

HELLO KITTY TRAINNNNN #hellokittyeverything
I want to take this train forever, SMRT time to work harder haha.
Oh! We brought breakfast from the streets from the stalls below our hotel. Super yummy pork porridge, you are add an extra egg at a small amount if you want.

Simple yet extraordinary yummy.
If I can find a boyfriend that makes porridge this yummy, I'll marry him.

Okay, I kid.

Don also managed to dabao some chicken rice don't know from where but I would just eat.

Okay okay come back to the day activity!

We entered the Chatuchak market and rest is history.

Not really , let us have some ice cream first.
 Ultimate favorite toppings
Shopped around, can't remember if we brought stuff but we reached the stage where the weather was attempting to melt us down, and we stumbled upon this little cafe #Savior. Okay never really stumbled upon la, we were looking for somewhere to sit down and found it! #withmotive.

We had a little bit of time left before we meet up with the boys so we accidentally went into the animals section and scare the shit outta me.
THEY SELL EVERYTHING. Joyce told me not to listen to Andy when he told me that they actually sell snakes and all sort of animals, & when I saw it...吓死我了。

Anyway here's some of the pictures I manage to take while managing my scares.
Really like the fishes and I wish I could dabao them back.
Cute little animals like bunnies, pups, kitten and idk what were also on sale.

Pardon me okay, my knowledge for animals is horrible and I dread the zoo the most.
Look at the pretty arowana fish and leopard printed stingray, hello cutie cutie!

I didn't take the exotic animals, obviously because I'm already trembling and screaming for SOS already. There were chicks, squirrels, chipmunks, hedgehog (if i remember seeing) and trays of worms (omg kill me now)
Don & I in the cab!

Back at platinum for dinner where we settled at the roadside store just like the first day.
After dinner, Jiaqi, Andy, Don & I went to Central World for desserts at After You Cafe.
We all know how popular their shibuya toast, so MAJOR YUMS

The last time I was there, I nearly starved ST to death.

Really want to try the other pastries, but I couldn't resist the honey toast.

the four of us with our noms !

Jiaqi & I continued to shop at the Siam Night market while the boys went on for their movie date. Both of us also had a foot massage after that because we thought it is uncool to go back hotel so early wtf. hahahah.
p/s: we had to braced ourselves through the carpark with dogs, but lucky we made it back. #phew

That's all for Day3!

Japan Trip Part 7 : Tokyo, Shopping in Shibuya/ Harajuku - Photo Diary

Hello Shibuya, Harajuku!

Finally to the shopping districts of Shibuya and Harajuku !

I spent most of the time there walking around... eating and more walking.
It was pretty warm that day.
And drinking starbucks. wtf.
Pretty nails by Mynte Fingers.

Shopping in Japan is amazing, it is amazingly awesome and so spoilt for choices.
From all the Japanese fashion brands to the international brands, the selection was so much and great that it makes one want to buy back the whole town.

One of the best things to do in Japan is to go thrift-shopping. Many items there were at least 80% new and at least 50% off retail price. There are so many of them around the country, an example will be a black colored blazer from Heather that I bought with approx $15 in Hokkaido. WHUT. IT LOOKED BRAND NEW TO ME.
Rinkan  has several outlets but mostly small stores like that. Smaller selection but exquisite pieces.
The boys got like Dior HOMME jeans for less than SGD$200? And it looked great.

Ragtag was our favourite store throughout the whole trip.
I also brought my balenciaga bag there with less than a quarter of the retail price.
Bottega bracelet condition 10/10 for approx $100. GRABSZ.
Yup, that's right.

Of course you have to open your eyes big and really dig em gold out.
We also went to shops to buy first hand goods la wtf.

Just another indie store along shibuya

Just checking out what's inside a craftholic store in Japan
Rilakkuma themed cafe! So cute, the queue was also quite cute, it was super long haha

Also finally tried Coco Ichibanya in the home country.
We also visited Hachiko-san.

Damaged for the day spent for the eyes. *wink

Alrights, that's all folks!

A.
