Fat Freeze with Sylvia Skin Atelier

BURN ALL THE FATS! BURNNNNN

Oops wrong! I got them frozen ! Thank you Sylvia Skin Atelier for the treat. When I was asked to chose from the facial, bust enhancement and the fat freeze, I immediately agreed to have a Fat Freeze session with them! The reason behind was that I was looking for a solution for my tummy and my face wasn't that bad so I thought Fat Freeze was a good choice.

Anyway, disclaimer first! I would be sharing more on my experience and thoughts and how it was done rather than how effective it is. If I were to say I slimmed down in just one session, I would be a freaking liar and it takes two weeks to see the results while I'm only at my first week after the session.

How does it works?

Based on my session, I was first asked by the beautician which part of my body I would like to do the freeze on. Then, the beautician will take a look and have you lie down on the beauty bed. For me, I chose the fattest part of my tummy ( nearer to the womb) for the treatment. The beautician then put a membrane over my tummy. It was to protect my skin as the temperature will hit down to zero degree. The treatment is one hour long and you can do anything you can think of while lying down.

What happens next ?

The machine will then suck up the fats and you get to choose to your comfort level. This part is important because you better let your beautician know if you feel uncomfortable cause it's gonna be an hour long!

Now we can start the machine for Fat Freeze !

For the first three minutes, it will be a warm sensation after which the temperature would drops till it reaches zero degree Celsius. During that hour, the machine will suck in and release your fats and it repeats. Sees why you need to choose your comfort level properly ?

I was told that the machine together with the cool temperature would break down the fats, and then it will be flushed out of your body. My beautician told me to drink as much water as I can, dietary wise, you can eat normally.
FREEZE ON FATS!
I was also told that it is recommended to have 8 hours of fat freeze on the same part with an interval of 14 days to achieve good results. And also, drink tons of water to flush out the fats.

And that's all you have to know about Fat Freeze !

How I felt ?

Ermmm. I felt already ? The session was bearable and fuss-free. I like how I was told what will be happening and my beautician was able to answer my questions. For me, it hurt a little with the machine releases my flesh and my tummy just feel numb. It got well after a couple of hours. Through out the session, there were NO discomfort. Nothing much happened that. My beautician was very professional, she knows what she was doing and could give me good advices so I really appreciate that.

What about the place?

I also like the clean and modern set up of the place. Although this is a sponsored review, I am actually considering to pick up a 8 hour package myself to shed some fats. Getting there is really convenient too! They are located diagonally opposite 112 Katong, just above Awfully chocolate. Free shuttle bus services are available from Paya Lebar MRT Station too!

Sponsored Review : Hada Labo Lotion

Pretty skin with Hada Labo!

I've been taking so dam long to blog about the Hada Labo Hydrating Light Lotion I think I kena blacklist by sponsor liao. Anyway I'm still glad that they send me the new Hada Labo Hydrating Light Lotion.
I have been using it diligently before my makeup.

My Say

I was quite worried at first as it was said to be for oily & combination skin but after trying it out several times, I felt that it is okay to use for normal skin too. The formula is lighter than all the other hydraluronic acid products and cleanse very well. ( just like the other range of products) Some other HY Acid products I've tried have this sticky feeling but not for this one.

This is 3rd bottle of Hado Labo that I've tried and I would say I like this range best.
It is mild , light, hydrates my skin and absorbs very fast.
I use it before I apply my makeup and my skin would stay hydrated for the whole day, even with the air con.

With no added fragrance, colors and oil, it is low irritation , no irritation at all for me despite my super sensitive skin. +plus for that! The texture of the product is light but feels like water.

Will I buy again?  Yes.

The product is available at Watsons, NTUC, Guardian, SASA, BHG & Unity at SGD $22.90 for a 170ml.

That's all for now folks!

Top 3 Favourite for the hands - Less than SGD $50

Hi peeps, today I'm sharing my top 3 favourite for the hand & nails.
For myself the quality, texture and price matters to me when I purchase a product.
If you realised, I do my nails really often, with the courtesy of Mynte Fingers for all my ridiculously pretty nails . Being said that, pretty nails have to come with pretty moisturized hands.

So here are my favorites.

p/s: 排名不分先后。

1. The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream

I was introduced to this product when I was reading a taiwanese magazine. I didn't buy the product until one day I was disgusted by my horribly dry hands. That was the time when I was doing my intern, super cold working environment. I think because at that time, I had to steam clothes and do things around that make my hands really really dry. Not to mention all the self-manicures I've done before my internship as well. I use this in the day when I'm at home and yes I use a different product for the hands before I sleep!

YAY :

  • It is affordable,
  • Comes in different sizes
  • Easily absorb
  • Natural based
  • and I like almonds

NAH :

  • Its packaging - I use to carry it around until one day it burst open in my bag and the cream was all around

Price :  $10.90 for 30ml, $21.90 for 100ml
Where to buy  : The Body Shop stores.

2. Penhaligon's Quercus Hand & Nail Lotion

It was a gift when one of my clients at my full time job and also what my colleagues and I are using at work now. Basic brand knowledge of Penhaligon's was that the British royalty uses it, has been in the market for a really long time and they does perfume. And indeed I thought they only have perfume in the shop until the day I received the hand cream. Having the brand tagged with the Royalties, I assumed that of course everything from them is expensive. Because the scent can last so long, I seldom apply it on my elbows and knee cap to smell nice. :) #cheapthrill

YAY :
  • Rich
  • Smells good
  • Smell last long
  • Absorbs quickly
  • No sticky feeling
  • Contains grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil ,cocoa seed butter

NAH :
Only one size

Price : About SGD $50 for 300ml £19  according to website)
Where to buy  : Penhaligon's Singapore ( MBS / ION Orchard store)

3. Bio-Oil

I think this is the must have bottle for all ladies, maybe the guys too. I started using the Bio-oil after I came back from Sydney last year and troublesome skin got worst. It was really really dry and was a little itchy(?) Can't remember much but my baby cousin Avvie had a bottle of this in her box and I decided to try on myself since it says specialist skincare for dehydrated skin. I then move on to try in out on my scars and it lightens as well. Now, I uses the bio oil on my whole body after bath time and also the hands before I sleep.

It is really an amazing product I would have to share with you all in a separate post and I don't even had to do the YAY/ NAH thingy because you really have to buy a bottle to try it.

Price :  $15.90 for 60ml and $25.90 for 125 ml
Where to buy : All leading pharmacies, personal care stores, selected hospital & Departmental stores.
(Watsons and Guardian has it. )

And that's all for now.

Thank you for reading and hope it is useful !

Timotei shampoo available in Singapore now!

Special thanks to Fenny, I got introduce to this not-really-new-to-the-market shampoo brand Timotei , about two weeks ago.

We are at Back Stage for the launch of Timotei shampoo and I was certainly impressed after the session!

Formulated with 100% Herbs extracts like avocado, almond, sesame seeds and coconut oil extract, the Timotei shampoo range protects, nourishes and enhance it with shine and strength. See the pretty pink shampoo above? That's the latest range of shampoo which features the active key ingredient - the extract of Jericho Rose.

With this extract, it comes breathe life and energy into the most difficult hair. I'm now using the range myself and I realised that my hair has better shine and more volume.Well, that's for me.

It is also said to help to comb easier, smoother, reduce dryness and less residual coating.

Timotei was first launched in Sweden in the 1970s and introduced to the UK & Ireland a decade later.
Their shampoo ranges are Paraben-free and they uses 100% PET recycable packaging.

Not to mention that their ranges are really affordable too.

Thank you TimoTei for arranging a terrarium session for us.
It was my first time doing so I was pretty excited about it too.

After which we were all given a session to pamper our hair with the Timotei shampoo and conditioner and blow dry our hair.
Here's a picture of Elaine and I , stylist who gave me such voluminous curls using only a comb and the dryer!
#superimpressed.

Each bottle are 400ml & sold at SGD $6.90 each.

The full range of Timotei Shampoo is available at selected Guardian Stores :

Sponsored Review : Tokyo Bust Express

The first time I heard of Tokyo Bust Express was a television ad, when I was much younger. It didn’t really interest me because I was really too young at that time and don’t really need it cause no boobs ma.  At that time I was also quite doubtful about bust enhancement, I have very little knowledge about my body, even lesser for the bust area. However I’ve read several bloggers reviews on the treatment session with Tokyo Bust Express and I was keen. No harm giving it a try right?

My Problems

There are many reasons for it, one being everyone saying that I have flat chest. Okay, I accept that .My main problem with my bust/chest area is that I have this stupid lump of fats lying around my underarm area ever since puberty and there is no way I could get rid of them! I can’t wear tube tops and camisole tops out because I look like those aunties in the market who try to act sexy but fail. It is disgusting ugly , that lumps of fats just irks me every time.  My auntie also always laughs at me because she says that my boobs are super soft. (she always come to touch my bust when I’m sleeping, idiot)

Anyway I was lucky enough to have two free sessions with Tokyo Bust Express !
Since I already had plans to make an appointment with them , I was thrilled when I received the email. I visited the branch at City Square Mall and I swear I was super shy during my first visit. HAHAHHAHA.

On my first visit to the centre, I was given a consultation on my current condition of my busts, an explanation of the products used and my wants. My specialist did a few measurements for me and explained my condition. For me, my bust is not balanced is my left bust is more tilted outwards. I have to make them go back and concentrate in the middle and make it pecker as it does not look full therefore making me look flat.  It was very personalized and professionally carried out.

Do you know that the treatments have health benefits as well ?
With the use of natural ingredients and massage methods, It can prevent bust related issues like cyst s and cancer by boosting circulation. Ermmmmm good stuff !
Before I move on with my treatment, my specialist explained to me the ingredients used and its benefits. I realized that Tokyo Bust Express treatment uses ingredients that are rich in phyto- estrogens.

Fenugreek Seed Extract
-          An unique herb rich in phyto-estrogens
-          Found on Eastern shores of Mediterranean.
-          Frequently used in preparation of pickles , curry powder.
-          Known to make women produce more buxom
-          Aids in hormonal production & facilities the development of mammary glands which feeds on estrogens.

Mexican Wild Yam Root
-          Excellent source of beta-carotene and diosgenin which are powerful phyto-estrogens
-          Recommended for hormone replacement therapy
-          Humulu Lupulus ( Hops Flower)
-          An Eurasian scrub rich in flavonoids
-          Remedy for boils, bruises, calculus , cramps, cough, cystitis , fever, fits, insomnia, rheumatism and worms.

Dang Gui Root ( Chinese Angelica)
-          Highly respected Traditional Chinese Medicine
-          Help balance women’s hormone levels
-          Restraining and supplementing the body’s production of  estrogen
-          Used to treat menstrual & menopausal symptoms
-          Shown to assist body in efficiency using hormones.

Pueraria Mirifica ( White Kwao Krua)
-          Native herbal plant
-          Found in deep forests of northern region of Thailand
-          Contains high level of phyto-estrogens
-          Preserved feminine longevity
-          Bust enhancement
-          Firming and tightening breast
-          Nourishing skin, keep skin supple, smooth and brilliant
-          Help prevent breast cancer.
-          Stimulates estrogen-sensitive breast tissues
-          Help enhance breast mass

I would like my bust to be bigger but I’m worried about the after effects of having bigger bust, eg difficult to get clothes, does not match with my body shape etc. So I decided to firm it up ! HEHE. I’ve learnt that every customer is presented with customized treatments depending on their needs and wants.  For my first treatment, I did a firming scrub, TT Push up Machine, Bust Collagen Essence , Bust up Therapy and Bust suction Therapy. All it needs for firmer bust. Oh ya, I changed into the robe!

Moving on to the treatment itself, the rooms are compact and nothing fancy. The rooms all have a mini wardrobe where patrons can keep their belongings there , small warm light source at the side of the room which make it very calming and of course a bed. Music is played through an audio system at a comfortable relaxing volume.

After the session, I’m given the home care product – the intensive bust enhancement firming cream serum, that I have to use after shower. Still very shy because after the gel application, the next step is to massage the boobs. I can get used to this !

I use like a bean’s size for each side and it absorbs super fast ! No sticky  texture after application.

Experience

I was a little doubtful when every blogger who went says that there was a difference/one cup bigger etc. Okay for me, it did work. My bust became perkier and more concentrated *omg dam shy*. Reason why I was able to believe because before/after measurements were taken and you can feel it yourself. The whole treatment process felt very special to me. First, I’m never done any bust enhancement before and letting <s>people</s> professional therapist massage your bust is something very new and very shy for me. Amazingly I felt like I let down a kg of rocks off my chest #notkidding.jpeg. Painful? Honestly, for the first session yes, for my second session no. The massage is the same but I reckon it is because all my toxin has been cleared off in the first session and therefore not hurting on the second session.

Sponsored Review : Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion

1 Step 3 Benefits !

Fair Moist Bright

So I've heard that the Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Range have been many's new favourite, reason being ? The three benefits in a step, made possible with ingredients like the Arbutin, Vitamin C and of course Hyaluronic Acid. Another sponsored item sent to me to try out. YAY!
The bearberry

To be honest, the Arbutin is something new to me as well. It is an extract from a natural bearberry plant and this is used to enhance skin fairness and help fight dark spots. Vitamin C in this case is to enhance skin's fairness and repair dry dull skin cause by the UV rays exposure.

Semi clear solution .

How to use ?

1. Put a small amount of the lotion on your palm and pat it on the skin.
2. I pat more after application for it to be absorbed better.

Done.
Before and after face at first try.

Thirsty skin on the less and less thirsty skin on right.

My Say:

Although the recommended is to use twice a day, but I only use it during the night time. I personally don't use/eat vitamin C during the day time because I feel that it makes me get tanned easier even I'm indoor the whole day. Therefore, I believe it would not work as fast as it should be on my skin.My personal experience was pleasant. The lotion is quickly absorbed into my skin and I could see a little brighter and hydrated skin immediately. I can't agree more that Hada Labo products are mazing, I think I would continue to use this product.

Sponsored Review: Mentholatum Deep Moist Lip balm

Sitting in the office the whole day can mean to have dry skin and dry lips, but there's the Deep Moist Lip Balm to help. Thank you Elfaine for sending me the #1 lip balm in Japan for me to try out!

The product available at always all drug stores in Singapore, are reasonably priced with premium hydrating ingredients ! The key ingredient for the product is the Hyaluronic Acid ( that we all love and changed our lives after it became affordable) ,Avocado oil and shea butter!

By the way, this is my second tube ! I bought one of the same thing last year and I lost it. If you realise, the lip balm comes in an oval-shaped container design. It is to make application easier as it can fit every corner of the mouth with one single swipe.
 See my dry + eczema-prone lips ! :(
Lower pictures are after I use the lip balm to do a bit of lip cleansing.
Applied another layer of lip balm after clearing all the dry skin, now my lips are looks more moist !
NO YOU CANNOT KISS ME.

My say:
There is a light scent of the oils used in the lip balm and it indeed is a very moisturizing lip balm. Priced at such a competitive price, I would say that the product is value for money and an item to be in everyone's pouch. The blue packaging also helps to let guys feel less awkward when using a lip balm. & of course the oval-shaped container design allows everyone to use lip balm easily and not look like we didn't clean our mouth after a meal !

Sponsored Review : 2B mask for face

Still remember my entry about 2B alternative for tummy and body?
ヽ( ̄ ̄∇ ̄ ̄)ノ ランラン♪

Because today's review is about the 2B Mask for face !!!!

I was elated when I received the email because I was so satisfied by the previous product I reviewed under the brand. Pardon my bare face , I was recently upset about quite a number of things and is having a mini breakout. Meh. And from the pictures , you can see that I have a tampered eyelid and a parallel  eyelid. #irritating.

Overall

To be honest, I don't really see much effects from this picture BUT I have to say that my face was quite small to begin with. From the picture above, I could see a litttlllllleeee more V-shape face on the picture on the right, but not very obvious la. CAN SEE CAN SEE?
I generally like facial masks with ear hooks as they work well most of the time. I was expecting it to have a burning sensation on the face, since its a slimming thing, but to my surprise the whole 15minutes was cooling and comfortable.  I felt a little numb on my cheeks after I remove the mask sheet, lasted about 30 seconds but nothing happened. I'm sorry I could not think of a way to measure my face width until I remove the mask sheet. #bimbomoments

Most of the ingredients used comes from france and they includes aloe and seaweed extract.
(meanwhile I'm eating seaweed while chunking this out)

Application

There are 3 parts to the mask but application is really easy. ♪(゚▽^*)ノ⌒☆

1. Cover the cheeks, nose and adjust the mouth area,
2. First hooks to tighten cheeks
3. Second hooks to sharpen the chins.
4. Smooth out mask to fit face perfectly.

Wait for 15 minutes and remove mask, massage the essence till it fully absorbs.
Do not have to wash away the residue of the essence , but I wash away due to sensitive skin.

More before/after pictures

Left profile.

  Right Profile

More defined jawline? :)

the top two pictures from the collage is the before picture, and the bottom two is the after picture.
The circled area is what I call the 嘴边肉 (aka extra flesh at mouth area). This 嘴边肉 is super irritated and much more difficult to get rid of as compared to getting a v-shaped face. ( click to zoom if you can't see)

Look at the picture collage, realise that the 嘴边肉 is less obvious? I'm pleased that just one use of the mask and it is not so obvious. Will be looking forward to better results after several use. #happypie

You can pair it with the sister product ; the 2B for Face essence for 2.6times better results !

There's 4 pieces in a box and are available in all Guardian Pharmacy Singapore.

I would rate it 3/5 over my first use.
Disclaimer : What works for me might not work for you.
Once again , thanks for the goodies 2B alternative & hope this is useful ! (笑)

p/s : I saw the 山寨板的 2B alternative when I was in Malaysia,  ONLY SUPPORT THE REAL DEAL.
It has the same packaging and almost the same brand name wtf. Do make sure you only get 2B and not 2 "x" Alternative.    (怒`・ω・´)ムキッ

Sponsored Review : Bio Essence , BIO SPRING WATER (Miracle spring water)

I'm sure all of us have seen the bio essence's bio spring water advert on TV, endorsed by pretty Hong Kong actress Linda Chung. Glad that they send me some samples to try out before I make my purchase. I've been using related products like this but I was kinda surprised to hear that it can be used on the hair !

Easy to use because you just need to hold the bottle at a distance (at about 20cm away?) and just spray to where ever you want. I just leave it to dry by itself but I guess you can pat dry also.

The droplets on my hand !

I use spring thermal water for my face to set my make up and to refresh my face when I'm out with makeup. I normally carry one in my bag just in case. I also use it when I'm rushing to finish my work after I wash my face, so  I skip toner and moisturizer and replace it with this. The Bio spring water for me works well with my make up and gets absorbed fast.

The Bio Essence Bio Spring Water is ideal for face as :

  •  controls oil efficiently
  • refine pores
  • whitens and brighten skin
  • firms skin with better elasticity
  • lifts skin
  • reduces dark circles
  • reduces eye bags
  • relieves sensitive skin
  • relieves pimples & reduce redness
  • use after makeup for longer lasting & natural look
  • moisturizes and nourishes skin
  • relieves tiredness, energizing
  • soothes skin after treatment.

Spraying them on my eczema areas ! HEHE
I also spray when irritating mosquitoes decided to give me some love bites.
I had some rashes on my neck today and it was so itchy and red. I sprayed the Bio Spring Water and the irritation went off like in about 10 seconds as well as the redness too.

The Bio Spring Water for body helps to :
  • Refresh and soothes skin after exercise
  • Soothes and calms damage skin
  • Under hot sun to moisturize and refresh skin

Okay I do not know that spring water can be used on hair, so it's a first time for me. HAHA

The Bio Spring water helps to

  • Moisturize for lustrous hair
  • Relieves dryness and split ends

The best immediate way of showing the results I thought is through my hair ,so before is dry hair and after is hair with more shine !
Side note , I need to get my roots touched up soon.

OHOHOH !
Apart from that , the product also can soothe baby's diaper rashes.
Sigh, look at Avvie's face :(

I've started trying the product on her face so I'm hoping for the good results soon. And i think it's only fair to give the product some time. Ya, and this girl puts everything into her mouth.

<s>GIVEAWAY TIME !

I have three to giveaway and to win, just simply tweet @yourapplepie this!
" I WANT TO WIN THE BIO SPRING WATER! @YOURAPPLEPIE" </s>

I quite like this product because one bottle and it takes care of my face to my hair to my body.
Perfect for the lazy me hahahaha.
The Bio Spring Water is easily available at all Watsons & Guardian.
Or here! : http://www.bebeauty.com.sg/store/product_info.php?shopby=brand&brandID=4&series1=59&products_id=319
