Birthday Staycation @ W hotel Sentosa Cove | Dinner @ Greenwood Fish Market

Staycation at W hotel Sentosa Cove , Singapore

YAY it's my birthday! I know this is super duper overdue but like other years, Fenny and I would spent some time together to celebrate our birthdays since we were just one week apart. This year we decided to upz the game and booked ourselves a staycation at W Hotel Sentosa over a weekend ! It was a week after my birthday, which is 2 weeks after hers so I guessed the staff only mention my name but really, it was for the two of us. (But still, thank you to the house keeping team!)

We had our late lunch at Kith Cafe, Sentosa quayside, and but then the two of us were already starving. We went back and hooray our room is ready!

We were so happy about the free upgrade (thanks a million!) and went straight to the poolside after getting ready! Pardon the low quality pictures for I DAM SCARED MY CAMERA KENA WATER.

Soon enough, it is dinner time at Greenwood Fish Market! Thankfully we made a reservation during lunch, it was super packed by dinner time. We were late, luckily they still kept the table for us. HENGAH. The food was superb, we enjoyed what we had ordered and definitely value for money.

We were so pleased with the food and service we would totally go back more enough if not for the distance. The price was decent, the bill came below $100 for 4 dishes and we did not have drinks. The portion was good for sharing for two, and what is better is definitely the ambience!

We had a little walk around and went back to our room shortly. Our room was set into a super romantic mood but we had our music on, soak ourselves in our bathtub, take pictures and had talks.
Did I mention that we had Bose sound system in the room? The experience was so good.

It was definitely quality time for the two of us to catch up for the whole year. Many things changed for the last 12 months and distance really did pull us further. Fenny shifted and I was really busy with the last lap of school and working life, we barely met throughout the whole time. Thankfully our birthday pact remains, and I can't wait for our birthday week to happen again. <3 Not sure where we will go next, but I'm sure we are already on the lookout. That's all for the staycation. Ciaos!

A.

Hey 23rd

Hey me , Happy 23rd.
Look at you it has been 23 years on earth, how's your stay at this planet so far?

Here's me, at 3.49am on my birthday typing on how I am sinking in as a twenty-three year old.
Dear future me, what do you think? Did you cringe reading this?

HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY to me.
Thank you for teaching yourself life lessons like moving away from toxic people, appreciated your loved ones, baby steps outta your comfort zone, influencing youths, enjoying what you do for a living and most importantly be happy. I can't wait to be better things in life, be a better me, and just keep going. May I be able to continue whatever I enjoy and what I feel right, for as long as I want to.

Happy New Year Babe!
We still have 3 more months to finish off the year, but I am proud of me so far for this is one of my best achievement year. I really think I did quite a lot, and some that I never thought I would.
Good job me, I did SNSC Level 1, got my Class 3 License, finished my education with a Bachelors', just to name some. I'm sure I'm up for some new ventures and a brighter future. Isit now that I can start to live for myself? I am not sure, I hope so and please be.

Year 23, what am I expecting in the next 365 days?

Loves,
A.

July Highlights! | Metier X, Kaviel's 23rd , SOD Cafe, Le Bistrot du Sommelier

Hello August!
And it means it is time for the July highlights!

One of the greatest highlights of the month has to be Metier X!
What's better to play percussion ever again <3

I believe most of us had mixed feelings that day for :
1. It's the first time we legit full band
2. It might be the last time in forever that we will play together
3.Our hardwork of 12 weeks finally paid off
4. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ON FRIDAYS NOW?

I miss everyone now :(

Also, special thanks to all who came down to support, it really means a lot of me and all of us.
<3

Before the concert day, Vigi, Ys , Addy and myself had lunch at the recently raved SOD cafe. It was kinda in our area so we popped by for lunch before getting our stuff done.  Food was decent just that... it wasn't filling enough.

This is what everyone was going for, the SOD Cafe Bubble Tea ($4.50).
The milk tea is average, but they had a good selection of toppings and we had fun with the dripper of course.
The boys ordered truffles fries  while we just take only, it's not bad!

Vigi and I shared the Chicken Supreme ($9.50) and  Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Prawns ($13.50). We really liked the flavours of the food, just a pity that the portion was too small for our appetite. :/

Addison had this Wild Berries & Banana Pancakes ($7.50), 10/10 for presentation but the portion really can be better!

All in all, the food was good, and hopefully it would be better the next visit!

Later that week,I also went for Kaviel's drinking, I mean birthday party @ Hotel Jen Tanglin !
Tanglin Mall would remind me of my mug at starbucks days cause that's how I spent my last semester on.
It was my first time at the hotel so my friend and I went to explore a little before heading up to the party.
Not bad eh the place, Kaviel's room wow-ed me even more,it so big and it even have a decent sized kitchenette.

The balloon sculpture so pretty I also want!
Thanks for having me, Kaviel!

I also took the opportunity to catch up with the old and new blogger friends!

I liked the sake the most.

Summing off the month , Amelia and I had dinner at le Bistro du Sommelier, a french restaurant along Armenian Street. Prior to it, there were very little information about the menu and prices about the restaurant but all we knew was that they had good reviews. We shared two appetizers, a main and a dessert. I had a glass of red and the bill came up to $145, certainly a treat for ourselves. We had butter and bread to start with but i loved to dip with the escargots. No introduction needed on that. The other appetizer we had was the frog legs $26. While it was a pleasant surprise for Amelia, I found it a little dry for my liking.

Since we were first timers, we asked for recommendations from our server and she gladly did. We had the duck leg confit. It was paired with some greens and quinoa at the bottom. I especially liked the quinoa. It came with a lavender/floral fragrance and later I realise that the chef added strawberries in it ! It was light and refreshing to go with the duck confit.

And for dessert we had their soufflé , the staff Shared with us that the flavour of the soufflé changes every 3 months and currently it is the fresh apricot. There was also white chocolate ice cream and fresh apricot slices to go with it at the side.

Yums away!

& that all for July, au revoir !
