July Highlights! | Metier X, Kaviel's 23rd , SOD Cafe, Le Bistrot du Sommelier

Hello August!
And it means it is time for the July highlights!

One of the greatest highlights of the month has to be Metier X!
What's better to play percussion ever again <3

I believe most of us had mixed feelings that day for :
1. It's the first time we legit full band
2. It might be the last time in forever that we will play together
3.Our hardwork of 12 weeks finally paid off
4. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ON FRIDAYS NOW?

I miss everyone now :(

Also, special thanks to all who came down to support, it really means a lot of me and all of us.
<3

Before the concert day, Vigi, Ys , Addy and myself had lunch at the recently raved SOD cafe. It was kinda in our area so we popped by for lunch before getting our stuff done.  Food was decent just that... it wasn't filling enough.

This is what everyone was going for, the SOD Cafe Bubble Tea ($4.50).
The milk tea is average, but they had a good selection of toppings and we had fun with the dripper of course.
The boys ordered truffles fries  while we just take only, it's not bad!

Vigi and I shared the Chicken Supreme ($9.50) and  Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Prawns ($13.50). We really liked the flavours of the food, just a pity that the portion was too small for our appetite. :/

Addison had this Wild Berries & Banana Pancakes ($7.50), 10/10 for presentation but the portion really can be better!

All in all, the food was good, and hopefully it would be better the next visit!

Later that week,I also went for Kaviel's drinking, I mean birthday party @ Hotel Jen Tanglin !
Tanglin Mall would remind me of my mug at starbucks days cause that's how I spent my last semester on.
It was my first time at the hotel so my friend and I went to explore a little before heading up to the party.
Not bad eh the place, Kaviel's room wow-ed me even more,it so big and it even have a decent sized kitchenette.

The balloon sculpture so pretty I also want!
Thanks for having me, Kaviel!

I also took the opportunity to catch up with the old and new blogger friends!

I liked the sake the most.

Summing off the month , Amelia and I had dinner at le Bistro du Sommelier, a french restaurant along Armenian Street. Prior to it, there were very little information about the menu and prices about the restaurant but all we knew was that they had good reviews. We shared two appetizers, a main and a dessert. I had a glass of red and the bill came up to $145, certainly a treat for ourselves. We had butter and bread to start with but i loved to dip with the escargots. No introduction needed on that. The other appetizer we had was the frog legs $26. While it was a pleasant surprise for Amelia, I found it a little dry for my liking.

Since we were first timers, we asked for recommendations from our server and she gladly did. We had the duck leg confit. It was paired with some greens and quinoa at the bottom. I especially liked the quinoa. It came with a lavender/floral fragrance and later I realise that the chef added strawberries in it ! It was light and refreshing to go with the duck confit.

And for dessert we had their soufflé , the staff Shared with us that the flavour of the soufflé changes every 3 months and currently it is the fresh apricot. There was also white chocolate ice cream and fresh apricot slices to go with it at the side.

Yums away!

& that all for July, au revoir !

March Highlights | Madonna's Rebel Hearts Tour Singapore, Amazonia & netflix , JunCurryAhn's fanmeet Singapore

March's been great and starstruck!
Most of the events were media related, so I was indeed really happy! heehee

Rebel Hearts Tour

My aunt had tickets for Madonna's Rebel Heart Tour concert so I said yes and went along with her colleagues. Madonna's really a legend with her energy level at her age. The concert was definitely a blast, it was also my first time in the new Indoor stadium and awed by the new interior!

Regina's POP & Celebration

My girl Regina POP lo! Nothing much to share but just so happy for her!
We had a post celebration with the other girls that night and maxed out our clubbing quota.

March's also ma boy,Ayden's birthday, so he is in treat too.
Special thanks to Singtel for having us at Amazonia, one of the best indoor playground in Singapore, we had such great time together!

I think it's a great place for Primary school kids and there's many activities to do there, we topped up for a game of Space Ball but both our favourite is still the glow in the night mini Golf !

I also tried to slide with Ayden but I think I was too fat (?), I got stuck on my way down. It was so embarrassing. Having said that, of course I could not fight with the little one in terms of energy level so I have to resort to other activities, such as Netflix and chill. *wink
While the little bro is still out and playing, I joined the rest in the room and chill, have some food and learn more about that Netflix is here to offer!

As an educator, I think videos are really good source for teaching young children, but it is always difficult to control what children are watching. Adult supervision? Not all are free for that!

And I love how Netflix has a good list of entertaining and educational shows available for children and of course parental controls! (very important)
After the event, I brought Ayden to the ION Sky to see what it is like to up at Level 56.

The following week, I managed to get tickets for my youtube idol's fanmeet in Singapore, I was elated. Super fangirl. <33333

Last but not least, my girls and I got to dressed up and catch up at one of our classmates' wedding.
Aging is so real!!!!!!!

That's all for the month.
I'm so tired now bye

February Highlights &Favourites

Hello March!

Febraury has been well filled with activities and I thought I could do some highlights & favorite of the month! hehs, I miss blogging alot lei.

EVENTS

Dong dong changggggggggg. As usual, CNY was spent with my family in Malaysia and I had some extra days there. I managed to catch up with my cousins (who are all growing up so fast) and when I was back, I also got to meet up with my dear friends and new friends! Percussion also came over for the annual steamboat but we were so full we didn't take pictures.

CNY @ Malaysia.
Apart from the usual fireworks, crackers, prayers that we do every year, this year my cousins were a little older now we went to watch the Mermaid (pointless, super lame but funny CNY movie), played arcade, took purikura and had Japanese food! This year we also went to the Old Folks' Home to give ang bao. I didn't take pictures cause I thought it was kinda rude, maybe next year I try again?

Gathering @ Fenny's new place.
I was late and probably missed out alot but it is okay! At least I got to see them! Fen cooked a feast for us and I'm already missing her Kimchi Fried Rice. (She makes the best kimchi fried rice)

Thank you TIN  for having me ,& Chang Beer too!
Chang Beer definitely make me wanna fly to Thailand immediately, tsk.
Nonetheless it was a nice gathering initative where I got to catch up with my old blogging peeps and meeting new faces!

Rebel Heart Tour Singapore

Catching the legend in action was something I did not expect this Feb, but so glad it happened. I was utterly upset about the floor plan cause it was so poorly designed and I was expected a lot more from her show. Nonetheless, she was amazing, I hope I would have so much energy and stamini like her when I am her age. It is also very inspiring that she has been the pop icon for the past freaking THREE DECADES and still keeping up in time, trends and whatever not.

VISUALS

I think what left a great impression on what I've watch will be this video on Rich Kids on Instagram.
I personally feel that there's no right or wrong to flaunt/show what they can afford to do, I mean I personally enjoy viewing the nice pictures. The video was produced by channel4.com/aminormal and I think it is worth a watch!

And having said that, goodbye February, you had been great!

Loves,
A.
