Ramen Matsuri !

Meow !
My colleague and I stumbled upon Ramen Matsuri the other day in midst of finding another other ramen shop. I had to work overtime that day and she decided to accompany me ! (yay) I think the one we wanted to go closed down and they replaced them.

p/s: all images were taken with our smartphones.
Who would have expected we would have dinner at some a random nice place !

Ramen Matsuri can sit about 8 patrons in the shop and another 4-8 outdoors. I really liked the atmosphere the japanese festival feel, maybe explains the shop name too.

The shop was decorated with Japanese festival lanterns, painted with traditional wall murals.
There was a book shelf of comics for otaku(s)

Their menu~

They have 2 base soup; original soup and miso soup.
I wanted to try the miso soup base but I asked the staff for recommendations and decided on the Original Soup Tamago Ramen.

I decided to give the egg a try but ended up giving the egg to my colleague. #cowardme.

Smoky greasy gyoza and our ramen !

My Say:

The soup was really nice and homely (imo) but might be a little salty for some.
When I first saw the gyoza I was like, wtf so oily! Turns out that it was okay and I like the char-grill taste that came with it. A little crispy on the surface of the gyoza, yums! The original soup was surprisingly good too, I thought it would be greasy. Good that it was light but a little on the salty side ( which might not be a good thing)In short, the meal was generally good and I've added the place to my list for my ramen fix at work. A nice place for a quick dinner fix.

Rating: 3.5/5

Sent my travel kaki this picture and they thought I was in Japan wtf.

Bon Japan Theme Cafe 2013

If you have missed it, here's a little recap from yourapplepie on the event day !

7 different themed set meals for you to choose from.
The maid &butler one is missing but we have cookin' poppin' fun with the customers !
& the various sets have different character collectibles as well.

Maid&Butler// Pikachu// Rilakkuma// One piece// Hello kitty// Doraemen// shin crayon

It was a really different themed cafe event that I've done because this is my first ever event that allows customers to take pictures with us for free. Yes, you have to pay for a picture at meido cafe events.\ It would be really a pity if you had missed the event as there were 40 meido/butlers/cosplayers that was ready to serve you all and free photo taking somemore!!!

 With the other meidos !
I look the shittiest because my face is at the side of the camera & got expanded fml.

Change of outfit !

Yuki changed into Pikachu & me , of course into a HELLO KITTY
I refused to change back to meido until I got super warm.
( I was wearing my meido costume inside)

I WOULD TURN INTO A HELLO KITTY ANYTIME WTF.
Check out our tail.

I also manage to do a little bit of hosting after our host (@thiang) left us and as usual, it was fun !

Collage with some of the team members !

& I look the ugliest of them all. (calling for filler sponsors. *cries*)

Thanks everyone for making work such a fun day and special thanks to Tim & HengLee for all the care and staff welfare that day !

I'm so tired now I really need to sleep. Oyasumi minnasan !!!

PIKAPIKA MEIDO CAFE X BUKIT BATOK COSPLAY COMPETITION 2013

Hellooooooooooo.

I'm finally managed to sit down in front of my computer and I think I will just keep everything short.
Today ( 28 April 2013 ) is a really fruitful day,I'm with another meido group now , same peeps but different objective. I've always wanted to be in a mobile cafe concept group because it means more fun and less commitment , and here I am to share with you my first event with this team.

Pika Pika Meido Cafe.

I'm glad that the girls I'm working with are the girls I met mostly through EOY and I really like them <3
Well, just some pictures to share what happened at the mobile meido cafe at the Bukit Batok cosplay competition today !

I didn't manage to snap pictures of myself in meido but luckily Vivian came to support and managed to snap some pictures !

Cake pop & cupcakes from the mobile cafe !
We had some merchandise sold in the cafe and of course things you would expect in an authentic meido cafe. #memories

& then the spastic me doing nonsense.

If you are interested in Pika Pika Meido cafe services and more about us :

Of course there are many other things happening at the same time , but I wasn't  paying much attention.  Except that this super funny host that treat everyone like kids and made the competition like an assembly session. Ask everyone to keep quiet and sit down to watch performance (wtf)
Dude, you made my day !

Meido Team

Thanks to everyone who came to support the girls and I ! Greatly appreciate it and proud to say that today's event is a success ! Although tickets were sold out wayyyyyyyy before the event commerce  many still came and tried to get in. You guys are amazing. (Y)

I would also like to thank Suzume for being such a great planner and opening the opportunity to us. To the other girls, I can't wait to serve at future events together with you all. So many fun and I love all our talks and many little things we do. x

Tatas! Long day ahead.

A.
