KAISEN TEI is a casual dining concept that allow donburi customisation. Not just with the freshly cubed sashimi, seafood but as well as the choice between sushi rice and salad greens!

The brand had me down for lunch at the newly opened outlet, of 313@somerset #03-41, one lonely afternoon and tried out the signature KaisenDon and I got the chance to customise my own one !

It comes with the tamago and cucumber cubes as well as spring onions (remember to opt out if you don't like 'em)

WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THE DIY STATION

☆ Fuss free DIY order form  : get it done in less than 6 steps
☆More than enough options to create the most delish donburi for the picky eater
☆The choice to ABURI it ! Come on , torched food for the win!
☆2 size to choose ( one for the skinny and the other for the greedy)
☆11 toppings to add on : enough for your fussy Girlfriend ?

There is nothing much to complain about the customised donburi but if you are extra greedy that day, the signature KaisenDon or KaisenSalad will not go wrong !

The Kaisendon is topped with Mekajiki / swordfish , Mini hotate / mini scallop, Maguro / tuna, Ikura / fish roe , Salmon and drizzled with the KAISEN sauce, created by MOF's Japanese Head Chef, Chef Sonoda Kazumori, brings out the smoothness and compliments well with the cubed sashimi. Fret not, the Soyu based sauce it also available with the DIY donburi !

The star of KAISEN TEI is of course Donburi, but what's on the menu is also curry dishes and I also saw kurobuta pork Katsu! Perfect add on for the meal.

Japan Trip Part 8 : A day trip to Osaka

This is a very sad episode for the Japan Trip, as this would mark the last day of fun in Japan.
It was the second last day while on the last day of the trip, we only could make time for breakfast and then prepare for our flight back to Singapore.

If you still remember, I mentioned that we brought the JR Pass right ? Therefore, we used the JR Pass for our rail ride from Tokyo to Osaka. No additional cost.

It was a Sunday when we went in Osaka and it was ridiculously quiet. The smaller shops around the main street was closed. (!?)

Did nothing much but to shop ,eat, explore the little city.

KRARY PAMYU PAMYU!!!!!!
Yamaha store where I got my books for my electone! #heaven

It's been so long I can't even remember this place. Anyway the food was okay only so not recommending too.
The eatery was opposite American Apparel. Ya..

Pretty prefecture of Osaka !

Takoyaki time, I guess you really have to eat that in Osaka.

Dinner in the rail, rice and salmon. yumyum
Will be back soon Osaka! Till then, x.

Japan Trip Part 7 : Tokyo, Shopping in Shibuya/ Harajuku - Photo Diary

Hello Shibuya, Harajuku!

Finally to the shopping districts of Shibuya and Harajuku !

I spent most of the time there walking around... eating and more walking.
It was pretty warm that day.
And drinking starbucks. wtf.
Pretty nails by Mynte Fingers.

Shopping in Japan is amazing, it is amazingly awesome and so spoilt for choices.
From all the Japanese fashion brands to the international brands, the selection was so much and great that it makes one want to buy back the whole town.

One of the best things to do in Japan is to go thrift-shopping. Many items there were at least 80% new and at least 50% off retail price. There are so many of them around the country, an example will be a black colored blazer from Heather that I bought with approx $15 in Hokkaido. WHUT. IT LOOKED BRAND NEW TO ME.
Rinkan  has several outlets but mostly small stores like that. Smaller selection but exquisite pieces.
The boys got like Dior HOMME jeans for less than SGD$200? And it looked great.

Ragtag was our favourite store throughout the whole trip.
I also brought my balenciaga bag there with less than a quarter of the retail price.
Bottega bracelet condition 10/10 for approx $100. GRABSZ.
Yup, that's right.

Of course you have to open your eyes big and really dig em gold out.
We also went to shops to buy first hand goods la wtf.

Just another indie store along shibuya

Just checking out what's inside a craftholic store in Japan
Rilakkuma themed cafe! So cute, the queue was also quite cute, it was super long haha

Also finally tried Coco Ichibanya in the home country.
We also visited Hachiko-san.

Damaged for the day spent for the eyes. *wink

Alrights, that's all folks!
