The Shiroi Koibito Chocolate factory is almost a must go when you are in Sapporo.
Reason? Singaporean loves the chocolate biscuits.
In fact it is actually more than just a chocolate factory.
There are so many things to see, do and eat there.
The journey to the Chocolate Factory via the rail system is relatively easy. Alight at Miyanosawa Station on the Tozai Subway Line ( 20 mins ride from Odori Station)
And then about 10-15 mins walk from the station, fret not cause there are signs that guide you to the park!
Admission to the factory was 600 yen but fret not cause there are so much to see!
We were given the passport and a piece of Shiroi Koibito biscuit, yum!
Hands-on activities available too - look at that heart shaped cookie.
Super perfect for a nice gift.
There are so many things to see that I don't know which I should focus on. #truestory
Check out the pretty package labels.
Chocolate Cup collection
The collection feature the cups used in the 18th century by the aristocrats. Chocolate has been a popular drink since then.
Packaging labels
There were so many packaging labels on display and it varies from different time frames. The displayed labels includes both commerically available products and made to order products.
The chocolate time tunnel is a little animated area where they showed us the time line of the shiroi koibito history. It was really cute, however the lighting was bad and I turn out to have not so nice pictures.
Shiroi Koibito Cookie Production Line
Doesn't it feel weird to be stared at while working ? Seems like any random stranger can be a supervisor. Nonetheless, I guess it gives consumers a piece of mind before buying the cookies.
Here in the factory, visitors get to see the production process step by step. There are also explanation boards available for us to read as we view through from the corridor.
Cakes on display near the cookiecraft studio and Shop Piccadilly. Amazingly pretty!!!!
Shop Piccadilly
Cookiecraft Studio
Many might want to make your own shiroi koibito biscuits at the cookie craft studio. I would love to however the cost of it was not friendly for my wallet, I had to give it a miss. This is also the place where you get to make the heart shaped shiroi koibito cookie.
The purpose of the next photo is to let you know that we Singaporeans, really like the biscuits.
Look at our flag, it is the first in the list! Probably meant that Singapore is the top spending country in the factory, followed by China and South Korea.
Gramophone Gallery
To be honest, I'm quite awed by the collection of Gramophone.
Old-style Children's Toy Box
There were so much toys in this space! It displays the toys from Meiji, Tasho and Showa Periods (1868 窶錀 1989).. That's what they say, but according to me the hello kitty guru, I felt that there are also toys from the 90s. Quite nostalgic la!
BRING HOME ALL THE HELLO KITTY
Rose Garden
At this 480 square metre area, there are so many different varieties of roses. Pity that it was kinda crowded I didn't want to wait for pictures. ( & Also I would have to pay)
Glad that we were there in September, there were seasonal flowers blooming at that time.SHIROI KOIBITO PARK
