Hi peeps, today I'm sharing my top 3 favourite for the hand & nails.
For myself the quality, texture and price matters to me when I purchase a product.
If you realised, I do my nails really often, with the courtesy of Mynte Fingers for all my ridiculously pretty nails . Being said that, pretty nails have to come with pretty moisturized hands.
So here are my favorites.
p/s: 排名不分先后。
1. The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream
I was introduced to this product when I was reading a taiwanese magazine. I didn't buy the product until one day I was disgusted by my horribly dry hands. That was the time when I was doing my intern, super cold working environment. I think because at that time, I had to steam clothes and do things around that make my hands really really dry. Not to mention all the self-manicures I've done before my internship as well. I use this in the day when I'm at home and yes I use a different product for the hands before I sleep!
YAY :
- It is affordable,
- Comes in different sizes
- Easily absorb
- Natural based
- and I like almonds
NAH :
- Its packaging - I use to carry it around until one day it burst open in my bag and the cream was all around
Price : $10.90 for 30ml, $21.90 for 100ml
Where to buy : The Body Shop stores.
2. Penhaligon's Quercus Hand & Nail Lotion
It was a gift when one of my clients at my full time job and also what my colleagues and I are using at work now. Basic brand knowledge of Penhaligon's was that the British royalty uses it, has been in the market for a really long time and they does perfume. And indeed I thought they only have perfume in the shop until the day I received the hand cream. Having the brand tagged with the Royalties, I assumed that of course everything from them is expensive. Because the scent can last so long, I seldom apply it on my elbows and knee cap to smell nice. :) #cheapthrill
YAY :
- Rich
- Smells good
- Smell last long
- Absorbs quickly
- No sticky feeling
- Contains grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil ,cocoa seed butter
NAH :
Only one size
Price : About SGD $50 for 300ml ( £19 according to website)
Where to buy : Penhaligon's Singapore ( MBS / ION Orchard store)
3. Bio-Oil
I think this is the must have bottle for all ladies, maybe the guys too. I started using the Bio-oil after I came back from Sydney last year and troublesome skin got worst. It was really really dry and was a little itchy(?) Can't remember much but my baby cousin Avvie had a bottle of this in her box and I decided to try on myself since it says specialist skincare for dehydrated skin. I then move on to try in out on my scars and it lightens as well. Now, I uses the bio oil on my whole body after bath time and also the hands before I sleep.
It is really an amazing product I would have to share with you all in a separate post and I don't even had to do the YAY/ NAH thingy because you really have to buy a bottle to try it.
Price : $15.90 for 60ml and $25.90 for 125 ml
Where to buy : All leading pharmacies, personal care stores, selected hospital & Departmental stores.
(Watsons and Guardian has it. )
And that's all for now.
Thank you for reading and hope it is useful !
Loves,
A.
