DBS Marina Regatta is back!

The annual DBS Marina Regatta is back! From 1-4 June 2017, a line up of activities is packed up for the next 4 days!

DBS Marina Regatta, MBS background
Special thanks to DBS, fatty and I had the chance to had a preview of the event last Friday (would have seen it in my IG Stories). We were told to come in beach wear but this fatty still wear sneakers, idiot.
Nike sneakers and Havanas slippers

I can't wait for the actual event to take place, for there is so much to do! While we were there, we walked through the BAY BEACH - Singapore's only pop-up urban beach to the Play Dome to meet the other bloggers. Standing at 9 metres tall, the Play Dome will host fitness classes like the free lulumemon-curated classes by Yoga+, WeBarre and Eat Train Love and also DBSMR x Ultra Countdown Party on the 2nd and 3rd June from 7-10pm! Interested parties can just register your interest at www.dbsmarinaregatta.com.

We were there for some snacks and then out to see the rest!

At the Bay beach, Bali beach club Potato Head will be bringing in their legendary Coconut Bar for the first time, would be a great combi to enjoy the evening with their signature fresh coconut cocktails and Three Bun's gourmet burgers!

On the last day of the event, 50 intel drones would be dancing in to a mid-air specially commissioned musical piece by local musician, Eric Wong. It would look something similar to what Lady Gaga's performance at halftime Super Bowl.

Fatty also had his time on Singapore's largest inflatable water obstacle course. Charges are SGD$10 for adults 18 years and above, SGD$5 for students. All proceeds would help underprivileged students from Student Care Services.

Of course, there will be BAY EATS where The Local People will be the curators of the food village. Filled with fairy lights, fill your stomachs with the recent hype eateries like Labyrinth, Garcons, The BellJay, Leng leng ice cream and more!

That’s not all, there are so much more to see! Customise your own artwork and see it come to life in the Bay Dome - Singapore's largest pop-up interactive art experience or try out Giant Games such as Giant Jenga or the Giant Pick-up sticks. It seems to be a favourite when we were there! Wanna spend some bucks? Walk over to the ! Bayfest Shop and shop for a good cause, support locals!

Definitely I did not forget about the Dragon boating and sailing events that is happening too! Watch 90 dragon boating international teams compete for Asia's highest prize on the waters of Marina Bay. Also, explore the bay's waters on DBS' 18m tall mega sailboat.

So much to do at the DBS Marina Regatta and it is free admission for all!

Have fun and see you there!

Skip Queues during Rush hour with DBS FasTrack!

Old Tea Hut has always been my personal favourite when I worked in the CBD area and I would get myself a cup each time I am around the corner. My favourite drink is the Honey Lime Tea. HAHAHA

A few months ago, I realised that there is actually an express queue where people just say something to the auntie, take and go! No payments was even needed, since I was rarely there anymore I did not bother to find out more. It was only a couple of weeks ago when DBS invited me to understand and experience fuss free payment with the DBS FasTrack, then I learned about how there are people who are able to take and go when they tell the auntie a secret code.

I'm kidding about the secret code, it is actually the order number wtf.

How it works is that you have to download the Old Tea Hut's app (which is powered by DBS FasTrack), make your order, give it some brew time and go to the store to collect it. This means that I could send my order through the app, have it paid while I take my time to walk over to the store after my lunch appointment, collect my drink and go! SO EAZI!

Okay, now. What is DBS FasTrack ?
It's actually an initiative by DBS (duh) where they powers several local F&B favourites app that allows users like me and you to order and pay. A push notification will be sent to the user when the order is received, and ready for collection.

Of course, not Old Tea Hut is on the project. Five Star Restaurant, Old Kim Guan (OKG Express) selected Koufu outlets , Boon Tong Kee are also in the list.

Using it is super simple, firstly do a search "DBS FasTrack" on your app store and a list of restaurants apps will appear. Then download the restaurant app you want to use.

Launch it, order and pay!
Wait for your order notification, pop up and collect.

Setting up the app is super quick too, just select between DBS Paylah or DBS/POSB credit or debit card. It is a one-time registration so get it done and over with! I loved it the first time I used it. I personally hateeeeeee to carry cash and isn't it better now that you don't even have to bring a wallet down for lunch ? Can't wait for more eating places to be on-board this program and have our nation move future smarter and better!

Special thanks to DBS for having me on that lovely afternoon!

A.
